During Jesus’ ministry, He included the children. If fact it was a little boy’s lunch that He used to feed so many. The boy offered the little he had and Jesus turned it into something great!
Child Evangelism Fellowship® (CEF®) is a world-wide ministry that began in 1937. Founder Jessie Overholtzer focused exclusively on evangelizing, discipling and establishing children in a Bible teaching local church. Our goal is to bring children to a saving knowledge of Jesus and then nurture them to grow as followers of Him in all aspects of their lives.
There are 131,013 children in West Virginia. In 2025, God used volunteers and staff around the state of West Virginia to share the Gospel with 15,205 children. 251 children responded to the Gospel and 26 children are reported to start/restart attending church.
So far in 2026, God is continuing to use volunteers and staff around the state to share the Gospel with 15,645 children. 229 children have responded to the Gospel and 36 children are reported to start/restart attending church.
Would your church or you, as an individual, prayerfully consider partnering with the ministry of CEF of WV this summer and select a day to have a “Children’s Celebration Sunday”? Maybe designate a Sunday to focus on the children in your church/community. If your church sponsors a Good News Club or other children ministries, you can feature the children in your morning service. Will you also prayerfully consider collecting a special offering for your CEF Local Chapter Ministry or/and CEF WV State Ministry. This summer, our CYIA Summer Missionary Teams are training and gearing up to reach the children around the state. Will you pray for and partner with us to help them as they reach the children in WV.
If a little boy was willing to give his little for God to use in a much bigger way, what can He do through your gift to reach the children? By reaching the children, you are part of building a life fence of protection around them.
